A little wanderer has been returned to me today.

Hatched in May 08 and escaped her tub in September, this little girl was found this morning by my next door neighbour in his garage. Although freezing cold, she has grown and looks fine. She's had a big drink and a warm in my hands and is now back in the rack with her brothers and sisters and she'll get a feed tonight.

It's amazing that she has survived all the freezing temps we've had recently.

Hi Pauline

Thats great news about the corn , they are tough arent they.

I had something similar a while ago.

One of our chain kings escaped in the october and was found in a field close to our house in the following february.

He was very cold , but once he was warmed up he made a full recovery.

Like your corn he had grown. What and how do they eat when it is so cold?

cheers

John

I'm guessing insects and spider. I had a rat snake on the loose in my kitchen for 5 months and not a sign of a spider until just after I found her, then they started coming back.
